Project of Description:

The Dapadapia Bridge has been build across the Kirtonkhola River in Barisal. Completion of the Dapdapia bridge is a significant milestone not only for PBL, but for all local bridge construction companies in Bangladesh. PBL successfully implemented complexpile cap lowering technique” to conquer deep and high velocity water of this Barisal river. The experience gained by PBL through the construction of Dapdapia Bridge could be successfully utilized in the construction of bridges over major rivers, using solely Bangladeshi expertise.

Services Provided:

Pile cap lowering design, considering precast pile cap, design specification of setting of pile-head under water. Alternative design of approach viaduct post-tensioned pre-stressed concrete I-PC girder, optional study of different structural systems, 3-D Floor grid analysis & modeling by Staad-Pro-2006 and detail  design, specification, BOQ, cost estimation and top supervision.
