Description of the Project:

 

This project aims to prepare a Master Plan for the Storm Water Drainage System of Greater Dhaka up to 2040, including assessment of existing drainage capacity, drainage basin mapping, and development of an improvement and investment plan. It will also provide design guidelines for future developments and recommend institutional and regulatory improvements.

 

Services Provided:

The project services include comprehensive collection and review of existing data, field surveys, and mapping to establish a reliable baseline for analysis. Based on this, detailed technical assessments are carried out to identify drainage deficiencies and formulate effective drainage improvement projects. Advanced data analysis is performed to develop practical, engineering-based recommendations for system optimization and future planning. The study also incorporates the identification of complementary projects and programs to ensure integrated urban drainage development. In addition, institutional and legislative frameworks are reviewed, along with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) considerations and stakeholder consultations, to ensure sustainable, compliant, and well-coordinated implementation.
