Description of the Project:
The project involves conducting classified traffic count surveys across the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) road network within the Khulna, Barishal, and Gopalganj zones. The primary objective of the study is to collect accurate traffic volume data and vehicle classification information to support transportation planning, road maintenance prioritization, and future infrastructure development.
The survey covered major highways and regional roads, capturing traffic composition including passenger vehicles, freight transport, and non-motorized vehicles. Data collection was carried out using manual and/or automated counting methods at selected locations to ensure representative traffic patterns across different road segments and time periods.
Services Provided:
Carried out classified traffic volume surveys, including field data collection, vehicle classification, and traffic flow measurement at designated count stations. Performed data validation, compilation, and analysis to determine Average Daily Traffic (ADT) and traffic composition. Prepared survey reports and provided inputs for pavement design, road capacity analysis, and transportation planning in accordance with RHD guidelines.
