The main objective of this project is to provide the opportunity for total inhabitants 74880 persons (population density 700 per acre) housing facility with a view to giving some relief for huge housing shortage in Dhaka city. RAJUK the executing authority decided to construct 75 nos 25 storied building including two basement floor through an innovative and time worthy idea in terms of design and construction methodology. Under the Jhilmil project about 381.11 acres land is acquired for development, for the high rise apartment project the 49.50 acres of land is ear-marked. Two category apartment buildings will be constructed, 5760 flats sizing 1,250 square feet and 6720 nos flats sizing 1050 square feet in two separate apartment blocks (A & B) with adequate infrastructure and service facilities. The project is being implemented involving land acquisition, land development, and construction of buildings with associated infrastructure at the cost of Tk. 5734 crore.
