Main objective of the project was to investigate the condition of existing and prepare a detailed engineering design for the Bridge over Kaptai lake Connecting Baghachari to NaniarcharUpazila. . Naniarchar Launch and Boat Landing/Ghat of Naniarchar Sadar Upazila and Dacbanglow Ghat of Baghachari Lake Crossing is considered to be the most important water way crossing and lifeline of commerce in Naniarchar sadar Upazila and goods and passenger by water based transport to baghachari and other places in the country. Considering the above facts, the Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh, through the Ministry of Roads and Bridges and its Roads and Highways department (RHD) / 19 ECB Bangladesh Army, have committed for the Feasibility Study, Surveying, Physical Planning, Modelling, Detailed Plan & Structural Design, Preparation of Bid Documents & Pre-qualification, Evaluation and Construction Supervision of Bridge over Kaptai Lake connecting Baghachari to NaniarcharUpazila.

Survey, Investigation and Studies, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Mitigation Measures for Preservation Components, Preparation of Preliminary Design, Preparation of Final Design, Bills of Quantities/Cost Estimates, Pre-Qualification Documents, Tender Documents, Construction Supervision, Preparation of TOR, Transfer of Technology, Design Criteria. River survey and hydrological/hydraulic investigation including data collection, investigation and analysis of river course, river morphology, historical flow and flood characteristics, mathematical modeling and physical modeling. Determine the extent and nature of existing and future scour & erosion on the vicinity of existing bridges up to a required distance both up and down stream. Final design of River bed scour protection and bank erosion protection. Final design of River bed scour protection and bank erosion protection.
