Project of Description:
The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has allocated public funds for the cost of “Feasibility Study for Important projects of West Zone” of Bangladesh Railway. The provision of the Services is: Consultancy Services for Feasibility study, details design and preparation of bid documents for construction of new railway bridge on Tista river beside the existing railway bridge.

- Phase – I: Feasibility Study & Preliminary Design
Traffic study and forecast; Topographic and existing utility setup survey; Climatology. Geology and Geotechnical Consideration. Seismicity; Construction materials; Physical Planning; Design Criteria; Preliminary cost estimate; Techno-Economic Analysis:
Phase-II: Detailed Engineering Design and Preparation of Tender Documents:
Soil and sub-surface Investigation; Materials Investigation; Fixation of route alignment; Shifting of utilities; Determination of requirement of land; Detail Design on Autocad-2D and 3D; Project Implementation Plan; Final Cost Estimate; Preparation of Tender Documents.
Structural Information of Tista Bridge:
- Length of the Bridge: 700 m
- Super-Structure: Steel Truss Bridge; 6 Piers with 7 Spans having 100m length each.
- Sub-Structure: 50m pile length; group of 6 nos. piles having 2000mm dia. for each pier and group of 16 nos. piles having 1200mm dia. for each abutment.
