Description of the Project:

The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has allocated public funds for the cost of the “Feasibility Study for Important Projects of West Zone” of Bangladesh Railway. The provision of the Services is: Consultancy Services for a Feasibility study, detailed design, and preparation of bid documents for the construction of a new railway bridge on the Tista River alongside the existing railway bridge. The proposed bridge will have a total length of 700 meters, consisting of a steel truss superstructure supported by six piers and seven spans of 100 meters each. The substructure is designed with deep foundation systems, including 50-meter-long piles arranged in groups of six 2000 mm diameter piles for each pier and sixteen 1200 mm diameter piles for each abutment, ensuring structural stability under challenging geotechnical and hydraulic conditions.
