 Description of the Project:

The project involves providing consultancy services for the planning, design, and/or design review of a 90–100 m long reinforced concrete (RCC) bridge under the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). The objective of the assignment is to ensure safe, durable, and cost-effective bridge infrastructure to improve internal or campus connectivity and surrounding transport access.

The scope includes assessment of site conditions, structural design review, and verification of substructure and superstructure components such as slabs, beams, girders, piers, abutments, and foundations. The project also considers hydraulic requirements (if applicable), load analysis, and compliance with relevant design codes and standards.

Services Provided:

Provided engineering consultancy services including detailed design review, structural analysis verification, and evaluation of RCC bridge components. The services included a review of foundation design based on soil investigation reports, assessment of construction methodology, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), and ensuring compliance with applicable national and international bridge design standards. Additional support included coordination with stakeholders and recommendations for design optimization and constructability improvement.
